Each year there are several signature special events including the annual Poetry and Chili Festival, Entertainment Tonight!, our monthly Wine and Music Wednesday gatherings, the monthly Salon of Shorts, 2nd Wednesday Theater and the annual Art and Souls Masquerade Ball.  


Salon of Shorts

Ongoing: 3rd Wednesday of every month, 7:30pm

Cotuit Center for the Arts offers an open mic series called Salon of Shorts on the third Wednesday of each month in the Art Studio. Award-winning poets, playwrights, and spoken word performers Christine Rathbun Ernst and Gregory Hischak host the series, which encompasses all types of performances: poetry, storytelling, essay reading, music, performance art, improv, and stand-up.

Brazen Belles Halloween Spooktacular!

The Brazen Belles are one of New England’s premiere Burlesque troupes. These dangerous flirts, rowdy rabble-rousers, and saucy comediennes have been teasing their way throughout the country to sold out audiences since 2012. Winners of the Las vegas Burlesque Festival in 2015, They also performed at The Burlesque Hall of Fame’s “Movers, Shakers and Innovators” showcase 2016. The Belles bring a variety of talents: singing, dancing, wit, sass, and of course seduction to the stage.They will have you laughing, lusting, and longing for more! 

17th Annual Art & Souls Costume Ball

October 28, 7:30pm  

Come celebrate the 16th year of our horrifyingly fun Halloween dance party -- this year's theme will be "A Night at the Arts Museum... When the Art Comes Alive!"  

Enjoy music, dancing, and “bone-chilling” refreshments. Costume Prizes: Best Art-Themed, Funniest, Scariest, and Group

Wine & Music Wednesday, November 2017

November 15, 6:00pm

Wine and Music Wednesday is an open house held in our Gallery on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, with wine tasting and live music. The first event was held in March of 2010 and it has become a very popular event at the Center. It’s the perfect way to end your day, start your evening or just join friends for a night out looking at terrific art. Tickets are just $10 or $5 for members and are only available at the door. Join us for a splendid selection of wines, and entertainment featuring Karaoke with Liz Solomon!

A Charlie Brown Christmas Album - Live at CCftA!

Nothing takes the edge off the holidays quite like the beloved soundtrack to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Vince Guaraldi. Since the “Peanuts” holiday special first aired in 1965, its score has become one of the most recognizable jazz recordings of all time. Revel in the pure, unadulterated meaning of Christmas with a live performance of this beloved classic holiday album, performed by a trio featuring three of the Cape's finest musicians; Malcolm Granger, piano; Rich Hill, bass; and Michael Dunford, percussion.
