Wine and Music Wednesday is an open house held in our Gallery on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, with wine tasting and live music. The first event was held in March of 2010 and it has become a very popular event at the Center. It’s the perfect way to end your day, start your evening or just join friends for a night out looking at terrific art. Tickets are just $10 or $5 for members and are only available at the door. Join us for a splendid selection of wines and live music! Featured artists are Kim Moberg and Heather Swanson.
Kim Moberg was born in Juneau, Alaska, the daughter of a classical pianist mother of Tlingit descent and a US Coast Guard veteran father from Kansas. Music has always been an integral part of Kim's life, a trusted friend during the frequent moves associated with growing up in a military family.
Kim draws inspiration from both traditional and contemporary musical forms of acoustic, folk, and country genres. She strives to sing stories that evoke contemplation and emotion. A self taught finger pick style acoustic guitarist, Kim has an introspective interpretation of songs and is especially drawn to musical stories that tug at feelings of melancholy, heartbreak and healing. Her original songs speak to reunion, awakening and social consciousness. Kim’s CD entitled "Above Ground", produced by Grammy nominated producer Jon Evans, was released in fall 2017. www.kimmobergmusic.com
