Liz Saunders

Liz Saunders has been performing in the New England area and beyond for over 20 years. Originally from Cape Cod, MA she has made a full circle and moved back to her roots residing once again by the shores near her home town.  Although now she sees the Cape in a different light.  Being away for a few years is now allowing her to enjoy and appreciate the landscape, the communities and the art and music scene much more than when she was a teen.  She is a college graduate who holds a degree in musical theater and communications and has been fortunate to stay professionally employed in the arts as a performer, director, teacher, manager and dancer for her entire adult life.

Immediately after college, Liz performed with a touring show and dinner theater. She found a love in working with kids ages 3-18 and was employed many years as an Independent Contractor, choreographing and directing for schools and private lessons. She has also held the title of Dance Director at a performing arts school, Director of Massachusetts State Drama Festival and National Entertainment Manager for a cruise company. You may have seen Liz in countless performances with a Boston cabaret group, on a harbor cruise ship, or auditioning for casting agencies in the Boston area. Her gifted qualities have allowed her to work nationally in Entertainment Management, film and commercials.

Her love for the arts and music came naturally to her as she remembers her creative, talented parents and festive upbringing. She was constantly surrounded by music, dancing, cooking, art, painting, farming, travel, and social gatherings where live music would fill the house. She “caught the theater bug” watching her talented sisters onstage. Liz was tap dancing and singing as early as the age of 4…and hasn’t stopped since! She finds herself gratefully content to have stayed in her niche. The showbiz passion lingers on and it is onstage where she feels truly comfortable sharing her gift. Her comedic timing, interactive style and humble approach make her a desired entertainer in the field.

A few years ago she subbed in for a performer and did a tribute to Connie Francis in the Boston area for an eight show run. The rest is history. She works regularly in a Legends-style show with a cast of other tribute performers and also has a one woman show. Not only did she find that the audience was engaged and entertained with what she was doing, she found that she was having a great time. So now years later, Liz finds the “Legendary Ladies Tribute” (Connie Francis, Patti Page and Patsy Cline) to be a part of her regular repertoire. Liz’s voice is strong, versatile and captures the essence and style of the original artist. Some tribute songs that Liz performs are “Where the Boys Are”, Lipstick on Your Collar”, “Mama”, “Walkin’ After Midnight”, “Crazy”, “Old Cape Cod” and “Allegheny Moon”.

When she is not singing at resorts, functions, or private parties you can find Liz entertaining audiences at senior living facilities, singing with her band in "Liz Live", The Capitol Center Jazz Orchestra, The Hot Spot Cabaret in Boston or Cape Cod Symphony on Cape Cod where she currently resides.

Although Liz is talented as a tribute singer, her versatile voice can also capture the style of Broadway, Gospel, Country and Pop. She also favors the songs and unforgettable styles from the 1930’s through 70’s. Her Variety Show consists of an eclectic mix of songs like "I'll Be Seeing You”, “Al Di La", “Fly Me to the Moon”, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Alright, Okay, You Win“, “Que Sera, Sera”, “Blue Skies”, “Heatwave”, “Route 66” and “Over the Rainbow”. When she brings her professionalism and natural charisma onstage, it guarantees the audience an entertaining time!
